Reception and Sorting Base) and the Minhag (מנהל הגיוס, Minhal HaGiyus, lit. Recruitment Administration). In practice, it is a military base where new Israel Defense Forces recruits are sorted in to their respective corps or basic training bases.
    • Tzrifin is an area in Gush Dan (Dan Region) in central Israel, located on the eastern side of Rishon LeZion and including parts of Be'er Ya'akov. The area proper is defined as an 'area without jurisdiction' between the two cities. Nearly the entire area of Tzrifin proper is taken up by the central Israel Defence Forces base, Camp Yigael Yadin (a.k.a. Camp Tzrifin, Camp 782), with which it is synonymous, even though the base also spills into Rishon LeZion and Be'er Ya'akov.
    • Bahad 4, commonly known as Batar Zikim (בט"ר זיקים, lit. Zikim Training Base) is a training base belonging to the Israel Defense Forces. Zikim is located 8 km south of Ashkelon. It was named after the nearby kibbutz Zikim. The majority of new recruits in Zikim pass the Rifleman 02 recruit training which has all but replaced the older 00 level that was usually reserved for non-combat woman recruits.

    • HaKirya, or The Kirya, is an area in central Tel Aviv, containing various government structures, including the major Israel Defense Forces base, Camp Rabin, named for Yitzhak Rabin. It was one of the first IDF bases and has served as the IDF headquarters since its founding in 1948.

    • The Irish Tenors started in 1998 by television producer, Bill Hughes, for a of PBS special The Irish Tenors. They have since recorded 5 PBS specials and 7 albums. The group's current line-up is Anthony Kearns, Finbar Wright, and Karl Scully. Bill Hughes formed the idea of a trio of Irish tenors during a Cannes festival at which the famous Three Tenors, Luciano Pavarotti, Jose Carreras and Placido Domingo were performing.
