  Great Yarmouth, often known to locals as Yarmouth, is a coastal town in Norfolk, England. It is at the mouth of the River Yare, 20 miles east of Norwich. It has been a seaside resort since 1760, and is the gateway from the Norfolk Broads to the sea. For hundreds of years it has been a fishing port dependent on the herring fishery, and today it services offshore natural gas rigs. The town has a popular beach and two promenades.

  The River Yare is a river in the English county of Norfolk. In its lower reaches the river connects with the navigable waterways of The Broads. The river rises south of Dereham close to the village of Shipdham. From there it flows in a generally eastward direction passing Barnham Broom and is joined by the River Tiffey before reaching Bawburgh. It then skirts the southern fringes of the city of Norwich, passing through Colney, Cringleford, Lakenham and Trowse.

  John Mowbray, 3rd Duke of Norfolk (12 September 1415 – 6 November 1461) was an important player in the Wars of the Roses. He was the son of John Mowbray, 2nd Duke of Norfolk and Lady Katherine Neville. He held the office of Earl Marshal from 1432, when he inherited the title of 3rd Duke of Norfolk.
