Dmitriy Karpov (born July 23, 1981 in Karaganda) is an athlete from Kazakhstan who competes in decathlon and heptathlon (the latter during the winter season). He won the bronze medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics. In 2006 he won the decathlon meeting in Talence, finishing with 8438 points. He is the Asian Games champion. More information...

  • Ignace Moussa I Daoud was born Basile Moussa Daoud on 18 September 1930. He is the Patriarch Emeritus of Antioch for the Syrian Catholic Church, a Cardinal Bishop, and Prefect Emeritus of the Congregation for the Oriental Churches in the Roman Catholic Church. Born in Meskaneh, Syria, he was ordained a priest on 17 October 1954. He studied Canon law at the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome. On 14 September 1977 he was consecrated Bishop of Cairo by Patriarch Ignace Antoine II Hayek.
  • Ugo Frigerio (September 16, 1901 in Milan – July 7, 1968 in Garda) was an Italian athlete, who won the gold medal in both the 3 km Walk and 10 km Walk at the 1920 Summer Olympics. In the 3 km Walk he had a time of 13:14.2, and in the 10 km Walk he finished with a time of 48:06.2. At the 1924 Summer Olympics, the shorter walk was not contested but Frigerio successfully defended his championship in the 10 kilometre walk.
