  The Waldstadion It lies south of the River Main in Frankfurt city forest in the district of Sachsenhausen-Süd in Frankfurt, Germany. It opened in 1925, the stadium has been upgraded several times since then, the most recent remodelling was before the 2006 FIFA World Cup from 2002 to 2005 redeveloped it as a pure football stadium. With a capacity of 51,500 spectators, it is among the ten largest football stadiums in Germany.

•  Goethe Tower

  The Goethe Tower is a 43-metre high tower built entirely out of wood on the northern edge of the woods of Sachsenhausen near Frankfurt am Main. After the Jahrtausendturm, the two towers of the Brück aerial testing facility, the Blumenthal Observation Tower and the Linsen Tower, it is the fifth tallest wooden construction in Germany, thanks to the addition of two antenna measuring stations.

•  Paulskirche, Frankfurt

  The Paulskirche is a church in Frankfurt am Main with important political symbolism in Germany. It was opened as a Protestant church in 1789, coincidentally the same year as the French Revolution, and in 1848-1849 it became the seat of the Frankfurt Parliament, the first publicly and freely elected body of Germany. The church started with the construction of the oval-shaped central church building in 1789. It was completed from 1829 to 1833, whereupon the organ loft was disconnected in 1833.

  The Römer (German surname, "Roman") is a medieval building in Frankfurt am Main, one of the city's most important landmarks. It has been the city hall or Rathaus for 600 years. The Römer merchant family sold it together with a second building, the Goldener Schwan (Golden Swan), to the city council on March 11, 1405 and it was converted for use as the city hall. The Haus Römer is actually the middle building of a set of three located in the Römerberg (a plaza).

•  Goethe House

  The Goethe House in the old town of Frankfurt am Main was the family residence of the Goethe family, most notably Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, until 1795. Johann Wolfgang was himself born here in 1749 to his parents, Johann Caspar Goethe, a lawyer, and Katherine Elisabeth Textor, daughter of the mayor (Bürgermeister) of Frankfurt. Johann Wolfgang lived here along with his sister Cornelia until 1765, aged sixteen, when he moved to Leipzig to study law, returning sporadically thereafter.

  The Opern- und Schauspielhaus Frankfurt (Frankfurt Opera House) is an important European opera house, the home of Oper Frankfurt (the Frankfurt Opera), a leading company in Germany.
