  Andrew Stuart "Andy" Tanenbaum (sometimes referred to by the handle ast) (born March 16, 1944) is a professor of computer science at the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam in the Netherlands. He is best known as the author of MINIX, a free Unix-like operating system for teaching purposes, and for his computer science textbooks, regarded as standard texts in the field.   Haldarsvik is a small village located on the north-east coast of Streymoyin the Sunda Kommuna municipality. In the center of the village there is a small cataract. The stone church in the village is from 1856. It is the only octagonal church on the Faroe Islands. The altarpiece is also distinctive.   The 2010 World Junior Figure Skating Championships will be the World Junior Figure Skating Championships for the 2009–2010 figure skating season. Commonly called "World Juniors" and "Junior Worlds", they are an annual figure skating competition in which elite figure skaters compete for the title of World Junior Champion.
