Hemiksem (historical spellings Heymissen and Hemixem) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The municipality only comprises the town of Hemiksem proper. On January 1, 2006 Hemiksem had a total population of 9,663. The total area is 5.44 km² which gives a population density of 1,777 inhabitants per km².
Niemodlin is a town in Opole County, Opole Voivodeship, Poland, with 6,911 inhabitants (2004). It was first mentioned as Nemodlin in a 1224 deed and received town privileges in 1283. Originally a part of the Duchy of Opole, after the death of Duke Bolko I Niemodlin became the capital of a duchy in his own right from 1313 to 1382.
The Mountain Serin (Serinus estherae) is a species of finch in the Fringillidae family. It is found in Indonesia and the Philippines. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests and subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland.
David John Dodds was born in 1930 in Sunderland, County Durham, in North East England. In his late teens and early twenties (having trained as a fitter and turner, losing two of his fingers in the process) he became a well-known figure in local athletics before emigrating to Southern Rhodesia in 1954. The following year he participated in the South African Marathon Championships and came second to Jan Barnard.
