The station is owned by InterMedia Partners and is branded as WAPA Television. WAPA-TV has two full-power satellite stations: WTIN, channel 14.1 in Ponce and WNJX-TV, channel 22.1 in Mayagüez. Both stations are also owned by InterMedia Partners. WAPA also streams its programming on its website.

According to its website, WBQC was the first television station to be fully automated. The station was also the first station in Cincinnati to perform "digital spot insertion".
