Kanal D (short form of Kanal Doğan) is a nation-wide television channel in Turkey and part of Doğan Holding which is owned by the Turkish media tycoon Aydın Doğan. Kanal D also runs an international channel, Euro D which is available online. Kanal D has the first High Definition Television channel in Turkey, DHDTV. On 18 February 2007, Kanal D has launched in Romania a television channel under the same name. More information...

The main news bulletin is called Star Eidiseis, which used to be hosted by Ellie Stai (1996–2001), Terence Quick and is currently hosted by Aimilios Liatsos. The Star Channel logo, which is similar to the NBC logo, is a row of 6 rhomboid-shapes which form part of a stylized star.

  • The Prime Time Entertainment Network (also known as PTEN) was a United States television network launched in 1993 by the Prime Time Consortium, a joint venture between Warner Bros. Domestic Television and the Chris-Craft group of independent stations. Originally, the station groups in the consortium helped finance the shows on PTEN, but that deal was restructured at the beginning of the network's second year. At its peak, PTEN had 177 stations covering 93% of the country.
