Colonel Charles Edward ("Chuck") Jones (November 4, 1952 – September 11, 2001) was a United States Air Force officer, a computer programmer, and an astronaut in the USAF Manned Spaceflight Engineer Program.

She is known for her sense of humor, which is expressed in both her music and her onstage performances.

Barker came to prominence in the mid-1980s with a series of short stories which established him as a leading young horror writer. An Tiaracht, roughly meaning "the Westerly" (anglicised as the Tearaght, Inishtearaght or Tearaght Island) is an uninhabited steep rocky island situated to the west of the Dingle Peninsula, County Kerry, Ireland. It is the westernmost part of the Blasket Islands and also the westernmost point of Ireland. It lies in the Atlantic Ocean 12.5 km west of Dingle Peninsula, at longitude 10.70ºW. An Tiaracht is about a kilometre from east to west, and 500 metres from north to south.
Thermokarst is a land surface characterised by very irregular surfaces of marshy hollows and small hummocks formed as ice-rich permafrost thaws, that occurs in Arctic areas, and on a smaller scale in mountainous areas such as the Himalayas and the Swiss Alps. These pitted surfaces resemble those formed by solution in some karst areas of limestone, which is how they came to have karst attached to their name without the presence of any limestone.
