  • Saransk is a city in central European Russia and the capital of the Republic of Mordovia. It is located in the Volga basin at the confluence of the Saranka and Insar Rivers, about 630 kilometers (391 mi) east of Moscow. Population: 304,866; 312,128. It is served by Saransk Airport and hosts the air base Lyambir. The population of Saransk comprises 34.3% of the total population of the Republic (as of the 2002 Census).

  • The Cedar Creek Wind Farm is a 274 wind turbine facility located 13km (8 miles) east of Grover in north-central Weld County, Colorado, which became fully operational in January 2008. The 300.5 megawatt (MW) wind power installation was completed on time, within budget and without incident. Cedar Creek is an important contributor to Colorado's New Energy Economy, providing enough wind-powered electricity for 90,000 homes.
