  Bushisms are unconventional words, phrases, pronunciations, malapropisms, and semantic or linguistic errors that have occurred in and defined the public speaking of former President of the United States George W. Bush and, much less notably, of his father, George H. W. Bush. The term has become part of popular folklore and is the basis of a number of websites and published books.   George W Bush v. Al Gore, 531 U.S. 98 (2000), is a landmark United States Supreme Court case decided on December 12, 2000. The case effectively resolved the 2000 presidential election in favor of George W. Bush. Only eight days earlier, the United States Supreme Court had unanimously decided the closely related case of Bush v. Palm Beach County Canvassing Board, 531 U.S. 70 (2000), and only three days earlier, had preliminarily halted the recount that was occurring in Florida.

  Arbusto Energy (sometimes referred to as Arbusto Oil) was a petroleum and energy company formed in Midland, Texas, in 1977, for former US President George W. Bush by a group of investors which included Dorothy Bush, Lewis Lehrman, William Henry Draper III, Bill Gammell, and James R. Bath. The company's chief financial officer was K.   Prairie Chapel Ranch is a 1,583 acre (6.4 km²) estate located seven miles (10 km) northwest of Crawford, Texas. The property was acquired by soon-to-be President George W.   James Reynolds Bath is a former director of Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI), and also former part owner of Arbusto Energy with George W. Bush, with whom Bath served as a member of the Texas Air National Guard during the Vietnam War. Bath, a native of Nachitoches, Louisiana, moved to Houston in 1965 to join the Texas Air National Guard as a 29-year old. In the late 1960s, after working for Atlantic Aviation, Bath moved to Houston and became an aircraft broker.
