  • Aden is a city in Yemen. It is a seaport, located by the eastern approach to the Red Sea, some 170 kilometres east of Bab-el-Mandeb. Aden's ancient, natural harbour lies in the crater of an extinct volcano which now forms a peninsula, joined to the mainland by a low isthmus. This harbour, Front Bay, was first used by the ancient Kingdom of Awsan between the 5th and 7th centuries BC. The modern harbour is on the other side of the peninsula. Aden now has a population of about 800,000 people.

  • Bosnian is a South Slavic language spoken primarily in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the region of Sandžak (Raška) in Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo and Macedonia although it is also spoken in various places throughout the world, as many speakers were forced to become refugees during the Bosnian war.   • HMVS Cerberus is a breastwork monitor, a type of turreted warship designed in the 1860s by Edward Reed. Launched in 1868 to defend the Australian colony of Victoria, Cerberus was named after the three-headed mythical dog which guarded the entrance to Hades. Following Federation, the ship was absorbed into the Commonwealth Naval Force, which later became the Royal Australian Navy (RAN).
