    • Saint Jerome (c. 347 – 30 September 420) (Formerly Saint Hierom) was an Illyrian Christian priest and apologist. He was the son of Eusebius, of the city of Stridon, which was on the border of Dalmatia and Pannonia (and was overthrown by the Goths). He is best known for his new translation of the Bible into Latin, which has since come to be called the Vulgate and his list of writings are extensive.

    • Xie Lingyun (385–433), also known as the Duke of Kangle (康樂公), was one of the foremost Chinese poets of the Southern and Northern Dynasties. Born in Shangyu, Zhejiang, his ancestry was from Taikang, Henan. His father was the general Xie Xuan. Xie served as an official in the Eastern Jin and Liu Song dynasties, however factional intrigues led to his dismissal and exile.
    • Jeonji of Baekje (?-420, r. 405-420) was the 18th king of Baekje, one of the Three Kingdoms of Korea. As the eldest son, he was confirmed as successor to King Asin, in 394. His queen was Lady Palsu of the Hae clan. Jeonji spent much of his youth in the Wa kingdom of Yamato Japan, going there in 397. Upon his father’s death, he returned home to find that his uncle Seollye had murdered Hunhae, Asin's other brother, and usurped the throne.
    • Saint Porphyry or Saint Porphyrius (ca. 347–420), Bishop of Gaza 395 - 420, known from the account in his Life for Christianizing the recalcitrant pagan city of Gaza, and demolishing its temples. Porphyry of Gaza is known to us only from the vivid biography by Mark the Deacon. The Vita Porphyrii appears to be a contemporary account of Porphyry that chronicles in some detail the end of paganism in Gaza in the early fifth century.
    • Aelia Pulcheria (385 - 386) was the daughter of Roman Emperor Theodosius I and Roman Empress Aelia Flaccilla. This Pulcheria apparently died in childhood and is not to be confused with her more famous niece of the same name.
    • Murong Xi (慕容熙) (385-407), courtesy name Daowen (道文), formally Emperor Zhaowen of (Later) Yan (燕昭文帝), was an emperor of the Chinese/Xianbei state Later Yan. He was one of the youngest sons of Murong Chui (Emperor Wucheng), and after the death of his nephew Murong Sheng (Emperor Zhaowu) became emperor due to his affair with Murong Sheng's mother, Empress Dowager Ding.
    • Murong Chao (慕容超) (385 – 410), courtesy name Zuming (祖明), was the last emperor of the Chinese/Xianbei state Southern Yan. He was the nephew of the founding emperor Murong De (Emperor Xianwu) who was trapped under the rule of Later Qin, but was welcomed to Southern Yan after his uncle found out about his existence. Because Murong De had no surviving sons, Murong Chao inherited his throne after his death in 405.
    • Consort Yao (姚夫人, personal name unknown) (died 420), who was initially Princess Xiping (西平公主) of the Chinese/Qiang state Later Qin, posthumously honored Empress Zhaoai (昭哀皇后, literally "the accomplished and lamentable empress"), was the wife of Emperor Mingyuan of the Chinese/Xianbei state Northern Wei (Tuoba Si). Princess Xiping was the daughter of Yao Xing (Emperor Wenhuan of Later Qin).

    • Dharmakṣema (曇無讖, 曇無羅讖 tán-wú-chèn, translated 竺法豐 zhú fǎ-fēng; 385–433 CE) was a Buddhist monk, originally from Central India, who went to China after studying and teaching in Kashmir and Kucha. He had been residing in Dunhuang for several years when that city was captured in 420 by Juqu Mengxun, the king of Northern Liang. Under the patronage of Mengxun, Dharmakṣema took up residence in Guzang, the Northern Liang capital in 421.

    • The Christine Jorgensen Story is a 1970 biographical movie about transgendered Christine Jorgensen. It was directed by Irving Rapper and based on Christine Jorgensen's autobiography. George/Christine is played by John Hansen. The film attempts a sympathetic depiction of its protagonist, and pleads for sympathy for transsexuals (and for anyone who is "different"). The movie has gone on to achieve a cult movie status.
