Professionally, he has kept goal for his clubs to a Champions League title and several Ligue 1 and Premier League titles.

  • Peter Phillip Bonetti is a former football goalkeeper for Chelsea, the St. Louis Stars, Dundee United and England. Bonetti was known for his safe handling, lightning reflexes and his graceful style, for which he was given the nickname, "The Cat". He was one of several goalkeepers who specialised in a one-armed throw which could achieve a similar distance to a drop kick.
  • Mark Bosnich (born 13 January 1972 in Fairfield, New South Wales) is a retired Australian association football player who last played league football for the Central Coast Mariners in the A-League. He represented his country 17 times and played for English Premier League clubs Aston Villa, Manchester United and Chelsea.

  • José Luis Félix Chilavert González is a Paraguayan former football player who played as a goalkeeper. He was a three-time IFFHS World's Best Goalkeeper award winner. Chilavert was also known for his skills as a free kick specialist, and often took penalties. He scored 62 goals in his professional career, many of them crucial, including eight in international matches. Four of his international goals were scored during Paraguay's qualification for the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
  • Rüştü Reçber is a Turkish football goalkeeper who currently plays for Besiktas J.K. Rüştü is his country's record international cap-holder. He has played a key role in the success of the Turkish national squad, and it was at the 2002 FIFA World Cup, where Turkey finished third, that he earned a selection to the tournament's All Star team. Rüştü was named the best goalkeeper in European competitions in 2002, selected for the 2002 UEFA Team Of The Year by public vote.
