The show focused on the adventures of John Peter McAllister, an aging ninja master, and his young pupil, Max Keller.   Comic Strip Live is a weekly, late-night, hour-long stand-up comedy showcase that aired on the Fox network from 1989-1994. It was originally hosted by John Mulrooney and filmed at the comedy club, Igby's. Mulrooney was replaced by Gary Kroeger for the second season and then Wayne Cotter for the remaining seasons.
