Neuzelle is a municipality in the Oder-Spree district, Brandenburg, Germany, along the border with Poland. The settlement in the historic Lower Lusatia region is probably best known for Neuzelle Abbey and its Neuzeller Kloster Brewery. The abbey was established on 12 October 1268 by Henry III the Illustrious, margrave of Lusatia, as a filial monastery of Cistercian Altzelle Abbey near Nossen in the Margraviate of Meissen.
