    • The Battle of Mursa Major was fought in 351 between the Eastern Roman army led by Constantius II and the western forces supporting the usurper Magnentius. The action took place along the valley of the Drava River, a Danube tributary in present day Croatia. Before the battle, Constantius sent Flavius Philippus, his Praetorian prefect, to negotiate with Magnentius, requiring that the usurper withdraw back to Gaul.

    • Gamiani, or Two Nights of Excess, is a French erotic novel first published in 1833. Its authorship is anonymous, but it is believed to have been written by Alfred de Musset and the lesbian eponymous heroine a portrait of his lover, George Sand. It became a best seller among nineteenth century erotic literature. The novel was illustrated with unsigned lithographs whose authorship remains unknown. They have been attributed to Achille Devéria and Octave Tassaert, among others.

    • Ka Choun is a commune in Veun Sai District in northeast Cambodia. It contains six villages and has a population of 1,397.     • The 2008 Men's European Water Polo Championship was the 28th edition of the bi-annual event, organised by the Europe's governing body in aquatics, the Ligue Européenne de Natation. The event took place in the Aquatic Centre Málaga in Málaga, Spain from July 4 to July 13, 2008. The gold medal was won by Montenegro, the silver medal by Serbia and the bronze medal by Hungary.
