Xalapa-Enríquez, commonly Xalapa or Jalapa is the capital city of the Mexican state of Veracruz and the name of the surrounding municipality. In the year 2005 census the city reported a population of 387,879 and the municipality of which it serves as municipal seat reported a population of 413,136. The municipality has an area of 118.45 km². Xalapa lies near the geographic center of the state and is the second-largest city in the state after the city of Veracruz.
Universidad Veracruzana (Spanish for University of Veracruz) a public autonomous university located in the Mexican state of Veracruz. Established in 1944, the university is one of the most important in the south-east region of México and has a good projection in all México. Its academic organization is a structure based on academic areas, schools, education programs and research institutes.
The Universidad de Xalapa is a university in the city of Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico. The institution was founded in 1992 by Carlos Garcia Hernandez as a response to the demand from youngsters with not much career options in the area. The Qiemo County, also known as Cherchen or Qarqan in the Uighur language, is a county under the administration of the Bayin'gholin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. Its area is 138,645 square kilometres (53,531 sq mi) and, according to the 2002 census, it has a population of 60,000. The river near the town of Qiemo is frozen for two to three months in the winter.
