  Brian Anthony Boitano (born October 22, 1963) is an American figure skater from Sunnyvale, California. He is the 1988 Olympic champion, the 1986 & 1988 World Champion, and the 1985-1988 U.S. National Champion. He turned professional following the 1988 season. He returned to competition in 1993 and competed at the 1994 Winter Olympics, where he placed sixth.

•  Kristi Yamaguchi

  Kristine Tsuya "Kristi" Yamaguchi-Hedican (born July 12, 1971) is an American figure skater and the 1992 Olympic Champion in women's singles. Yamaguchi also won two World Figure Skating Championships in 1991 and 1992 and a U.S. Figure Skating Championships in 1992. She won one junior world title in 1988 and two national titles in 1989 and 1990 as a pairs skater with Rudy Galindo. In December 2005, she was inducted into the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame.

  James Edmound Shea, Jr. (born June 10, 1968) is a retired American skeleton racer who won the Gold medal in dramatic fashion at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. Shea also was chosen by fellow athletes to recite the Athlete's Oath during the Opening Ceremonies and along with his father, Jim Shea Sr. , passed the Olympic Torch to the 1980 U.S. Mens' Hockey Team who ignited the Olympic Cauldron.

  Renate Groenewold (born October 8, 1976 in Veendam, The Netherlands) is a Dutch long track speed skater and road bicycle racer. Groenewold has won several Dutch Championships. In 1999, 2002 and 2003 she won the Dutch allround championship. On the European Allround Championships she has won various medals. 5 times she came in third in the overall ranking.   Georg Hackl (born September 9, 1966) is a German former luger who was three time Olympic and World Champion. He is known affectionately as Hackl-Schorsch or as the Speeding Weißwurst a reference to what he looks like in his white bodysuit coming down the luge at fast speeds. Hackl was born in Berchtesgaden, Bavaria. He won his first Winter Olympic Games luge medal in 1988 in Calgary, when he finished second in the singles event, while placing fourth in the doubles.

•  Jan Bos

  Jan Bos (born March 29, 1975 in Harderwijk) is a Dutch speedskater and sprint cyclist. In 1998 he became world champion sprint and he won the silver medal that year on the 1000 meter sprint during the Winter Olympics in Nagano. In 2002 he won the silver medal on that same distance in Salt Lake City. In 2004 he competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, in the team sprint track cycling event, together with his brother Theo Bos, who won the silver at the individual sprint, and Teun Mulder.

•  Gerard van Velde

  Gerard Pieter Hendrik van Velde (born 30 November 1971 in Wapenveld, The Netherlands) is a retired Dutch speedskater, and was specialised in sprinting. He was considered the best Dutch sprinter during the early 1990s, but did not manage to win a medal in either the 1992 or 1994 Winter Olympics. The 1992 Games were particularly frustrating, as he missed a bronze medal by only one-hundredth of a second. During the late 1990s, clap skates became standard in Olympic competition.

  Ole Einar Bjørndalen (usually Ole Einar Bjoerndalen in English) (born 27 January 1974; from Simostranda in Modum, is a Norwegian career biathlete. Bjørndalen has won six Olympic gold medals, four silvers and a bronze, as well as fourteen World Championship gold medals. In addition, he has a record 91 World Cup victories, and he became the first ever biathlete to win a FIS Cross Country World Cup race, in Gällivare, Sweden in 2006.

  Tristan Gale (born August 10, 1980) is an American skeleton racer who competed from 2001 to 2006. At the 2002 Winter Olympics, she became the inaugural women's skeleton champion. Gale dyed her hair with streaks of red, white and blue for the 2002 Olympics. During the 2002-2003 season, Tristan won a second gold medal on her home track in Salt Lake during a World Cup stop.   Virginia Eshelman Johnson (born February 11, 1925) is a former American psychologist, best known as the junior member of the Masters and Johnson sexuality research team. Along with William Masters, she pioneered research into the nature of human sexual response and the diagnosis and treatment of sexual disorders and dysfunctions from 1957 until the 1990s. Johnson was born to Harry Hershel Eshelman and Edna Eshelman, née Evans, in Springfield, Missouri.
