  Marietta Alboni (March 6, 1826 – June 23, 1894) was a renowned Italian contralto opera singer. With the exception of Maria Malibran, she was considered the greatest contralto of the nineteenth century. She was born at Città di Castello, in Umbria. She became a pupil of Antonio Bagioli of Cesena Romagna, and later of Gioachino Rossini.   John Sherman, nicknamed "The Ohio Icicle" (May 10, 1823 – October 22, 1900), was a U.S. Representative and U.S. Senator from Ohio during the Civil War and into the late nineteenth century. He served as both Secretary of the Treasury and Secretary of State and was the principal author of the Sherman Antitrust Act. His older brothers were Charles Taylor Sherman, a US Judge in Ohio, and General William Tecumseh Sherman of Civil War fame. His younger brother was banker Hoyt Sherman.

  Blue System was a German pop group that was founded by Dieter Bohlen in 1987 after the break-up of Modern Talking. The group consisted of Dieter Bohlen (composer, producer, vocals), Rolf Köhler (vocals), Michael Scholz (backingvocals), Detlef Wiedeke (backingvocals). On stage: Joachim Vogel (rhythm-guitar), Jeanne Dupuy and Frank Otto (drums). In 1988 Frank Otto was replaced by Michel Rollin. After that in 1991 a new keyboardist joined - Achim Striben.

  Martha Norelius (January 20, 1908 – September 23, 1955) was an American swimmer who competed in the 1924 Summer Olympics and 1928 Summer Olympics. In the 1924 Olympics she won a gold medal in the 400 m freestyle event. Four years later in Amsterdam, she won gold medals in the 400 m freestyle event and 4x100 m freestyle relay event.
