Lomond School is an independent co-educational day and boarding school in Helensburgh, Argyll and Bute, Scotland. It was formed from a merger in 1977 between Larchfield Academy (founded 1845) and St Bride's School for Girls (founded 1895). It is a member school of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference.     • Soyuz T-13 was a Soyuz mission, a human spaceflight mission transporting personnel to the Russian space station Salyut 7. The eighth expedition to the orbital station, the mission launched from Baikonur Cosmodrome, atop a Soyuz-U2 carrier rocket, at 06:39:52 UTC on 1985-06-06. It is of note because it marked the first time a spacecraft had docked with a 'dead' space station, and the first time such a station had been returned to operational status following repairs.

    • Omer Clyde "O.C. " Aderhold (November 7, 1899 – July 4, 1969) was President of the University of Georgia (UGA) in Athens from 1950 until 1967. Aderhold was born in Lavonia, Georgia on November 7, 1899. He graduated from UGA in 1923 and received a master's degree, M.A. from UGA as well in 1930. He went on to receive his Ph.D. from Ohio State University in 1938. Joining the faculty of UGA in 1929 as associate professor of education, Aderhold he became dean of the College of Education in 1946.
