Summary

Arne Rostad (4 March 1894 – 21 June 1969) was a Norwegian politician for the Farmers' Party. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Oppland in 1945, but he was not re-elected in 1949. Born in Verdal, Rostad was a member of Vardal municipal council from 1925 to 1940. Outside of politics he worked as a farmer. He was declared Knight of the Order of St. Olav in 1964.     • Gavrilo Princip (25 July 1894 – 28 April 1918) was a Bosnian Serb patriot, associated with the freedom movement Mlada Bosna (Young Bosnia). Princip assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and his wife, Sophie, Duchess of Hohenberg, in Sarajevo on 28 June 1914. Princip and his accomplices were arrested and implicated a number of members of the Serbian military, leading Austria-Hungary to issue a démarche to Serbia known as the July Ultimatum.
