  • The Southwest German Radio Symphony Orchestra (also known in English as the SWR Baden-Baden and Freiburg Symphony Orchestra or SWR Symphony Orchestra, and in German as the Sinfonieorchester des Südwestrundfunks or SWR Sinfonieorchester) is a radio orchestra located in the German cities of Baden-Baden and Freiburg. The first incarnation of the orchestra occurred in 1946, initially with members of the discontinued spa orchestra of the city as the core of players.
  • Joseph Sidney Finney (May 1, 1929 – February 3, 2009) was a professional ice hockey centre during the 1950s and early 1960s in the WHL. Finney played two seasons in the NHL with the Chicago Black Hawks. He would go on to become the 13th all-time scorer in the Western Hockey League. He led the Calgary Stampeders to a championship in 1954 and led the WHL in scoring with 45 goals in 1958.
  • The present Coat of arms of Guinea was adopted in 1984 and features a dove with a golden olive branch in its beak over crossed sword and rifle, over a ribbon with "Work justice solidarity".
