  James Hutton MD (Edinburgh, 3 June 1726 OS – 26 March 1797) was a Scottish geologist, physician, naturalist, chemist and experimental farmer. He is considered the father of modern geology. His theories of geology and geologic time, also called deep time, came to be included in theories which were called plutonism and uniformitarianism.

  Daniel Niklaus Chodowiecki (16 October 1726 – 1801) was a Polish-German painter and printmaker with Huguenot ancestry, who is most famous as an etcher. He spent most of his life in Berlin, and became the director of the Berlin Academy of Art. He was born in the city of(Danzig) in Poland, and in a letter “in typical Berlin humor” wrote, “that he moved to Berlin, Germany, which shows for sure, that he is a 'genuine Pole'. ” He kept close to the Huguenot scene, due to his ancestry.

He was regarded as the best chess player of his age (see any of the References), although the title of World Chess Champion was not yet in existence.   Angelo Maria Bandini (September 25, 1726 – 1803) was an Italian author and librarian born in Florence. Having been left an orphan in his infancy, he was supported by his uncle, Giuseppe Bandini, a lawyer of some note. He received his education among the Jesuits, and showed a special inclination for the study of antiquities.
