Na mitologia nórdica, Bifrost (ou Asbru) é o nome da ponte que estabelecia a ligação entre o domínio dos deuses, Asgard, e a Terra, Midgard, terra dos mortais. Os deuses viajavam diariamente para realizar seus conselhos sob a sombra da árvore Yggdrasil. A ponte era representada por um enorme arco-íris e seu guardião era Heimdall. It is also noted to have been a place of dwelling for Balder, Forseti's father in Norse and Germanic mythologies.
