Neuzelle is a municipality in the Oder-Spree district, Brandenburg, Germany, along the border with Poland. The settlement in the historic Lower Lusatia region is probably best known for Neuzelle Abbey and its Neuzeller Kloster Brewery. The abbey was established on 12 October 1268 by Henry III the Illustrious, margrave of Lusatia, as a filial monastery of Cistercian Altzelle Abbey near Nossen in the Margraviate of Meissen.
Schönefeld is a suburban place in the Dahme-Spreewald district, Brandenburg, Germany. It is bounded by Berlin in the southwest with the local part of Treptow. It is accessed by rail, autobahnen A13 and A10, the Berliner Ring and routes B96A and B179.
Fehrbellin is a municipality in Germany, located 60 km NW of Berlin. It has 9310 inhabitants as of 2005. In 1675, the Battle of Fehrbellin was fought there, in which the troops of Brandenburg defeated those of occupying Sweden. In 1758 during the Seven Years War Prussian and Swedish forces clashed at Battle of Fehrbellin (1758). One of the most important skydiving dropzones of Germany is located at the local airport.
Halbe is a municipality in the Dahme-Spreewald district of Brandenburg, Germany. It is situated near the capital city Berlin and the Spreewald Four other villages are part of Halbe: Briesen/Brand with the Tropical Islands Dom, Teurow, Freidorf and Oderin.
Kloster Lehnin or Lehnin is a municipality in the German state of Brandenburg, about 15 km (9 mi) southeast of Brandenburg an der Havel. It was established on April 1, 2002 by the merger of 13 villages: Centre of the municipality is Lehnin. It is best known for Lehnin Abbey, the oldest monastery in the Margraviate of Brandenburg, established in 1180 by Margrave Otto I. The adajacent settlement developed about 1415 out of a market held by thed monks outside the abbey walls.
