•  Orava (reservoir)

  Orava is a reservoir in northernmost Slovakia, which is the largest lake in Slovakia (35.2 km²). It has been constructed between 1941 and 1953 as a dam built on the former two sources of the Orava river. Several former villages had to be inundated for this purpose. Probably the best known of them was Slanica, the birthplace of the Slovak intellectual and cleric Anton Bernolák (Antonius Bernolacius). Today, the reservoir is protected by the Horná Orava Protected Landscape Area.

•  Liptovská Mara

  Liptovská Mara is a reservoir in northern Slovakia, on the Váh river near Liptovský Mikuláš, in the Liptov region. The dam is named after one of the inundated villages. It was built in 1965-1975. The area of the reservoir is 22 km², max. depth is 45 m and the capacity is 360 mil. m³. During construction, nine were inundated and a major railway and road relocated. The main purpose of this dam is to prevent floods, although it also generates electricity.

•  Tajchy

  Tajchy are artificial water reservoirs in the Štiavnica Mountains, in central Slovakia. Most of them were built in order to provide energy for the silver mines of Banská Štiavnica in the 18th century. At their height, tajchy comprised a sophisticated system of 60 reservoirs, connected to each other by more than 100 km of channels and underground tunnels. 24 artificial lakes still exist and serve recreational purposes.

•  Zemplínska šírava

  Zemplínska šírava (sometimes called the "Slovak sea") is a dam and lake in eastern Slovakia, near the town of Michalovce, wholly belonging to the Michalovce District. The name recalls the historical Zemplín region. The dam was built in 1961-1965, covers an area of 33 km², has an average depth of 9.5 metres, with a maximum of 14 m. Water from the dam flows into the Laborec river, which in turn flows into the Bodrog river. The area is primarily used for recreation. Zemplinska sirava (Slovak)

  New York State Route 19A (NY 19A) is a north–south state highway in western New York, United States. It is an alternate route of NY 19 between the town of Hume and the vicinity of the village of Silver Springs. NY 19A also serves the community of Portageville and the village of Castile.
