  • The Montmorency Football Club is an Australian rules football club located in the north-eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria. The club's home ground is the North Oval of Montmorency park, Montmorency. The teams nickname is the Magpies and their jumper design is white and black stripes similar to that of Collingwood.
  • The 49er class sailing competition at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing took place between the 10th and 17th of August in Qingdao, at the Qingdao International Marina. 19 teams of two sailors each competed in this 49er dinghy competition. A total of 16 races were scheduled but 3 were canceled due to the weather. Points were assigned based on the finishing position in each race (1 for first, 2 for second, etc.).
  • Lucky The Man is the 2001 studio album by the noted and influential British Folk guitarist, singer and songwriter Wizz Jones. The album was re-released on CD in 2007, with additional tracks, on the Hux label; this issue comes with a 12 page booklet including extensive notes, personal comments from Wizz on each of the bonus tracks, plus rare photographs from Jones' personal archive.
