•  Francis van Aarssens

  Baron Francis van Aarssens or Baron François van Aerssen (27 September 1572, Brussels - 27 December 1641, The Hague), from 1611 on lord of Sommelsdijk, was a diplomat and statesman of the United Provinces. He was son of Cornelis van Aarsens, also a statesman. His talents commended him to the notice of Advocate Johan van Oldenbarnevelt, who sent him, at the age of 26 years, as a diplomatic agent of the states-general to the court of France.

  Johann Bayer (1572 – March 7, 1625) was a German lawyer and uranographer. He was born in Rain, Bavaria in 1572. He began his study of philosophy in Ingolstadt in 1592, and moved later to Augsburg to begin work as a lawyer. He grew interested in astronomy during his time in Augsburg. He ultimately became legal advisor to the Augsburg city council in 1612 and died in 1625.

  John Sigismund was a Prince-elector of the Margraviate of Brandenburg from the House of Hohenzollern. He also served as a Duke of Prussia. John Sigismund was born in Halle an der Saale to Joachim Frederick, Elector of Brandenburg, and his first wife Catherine, Princess of Brandenburg-Küstrin.   Emperor Go-Yōzei (後陽成天皇 Go-Yōzei-tennō) (December 31, 1572 - September 25, 1617) was the 107th emperor of Japan, according to the traditional order of succession. He reigned from December 17, 1586 to May 9, 1611, corresponding to the transition between the Azuchi-Momoyama period and the Edo period. This 16th century sovereign was named after the 9th century Emperor Yōzei and go- (後), translates literally as "later;" and thus, he could be called the "Later Emperor Yōzei".

  Kyrillos Loukaris or Cyril Lucaris (1572–June 1638; Greek Κύριλλος Λούκαρις or Λούκαρης) was a Greek prelate and theologian, and a native of Candia, Crete (then under the Republic of Venice). He later became the Greek Patriarch of Alexandria as Cyril III and Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople as Cyril I. Loukaris strove for a reform of Orthodoxy along Protestant and Calvinist lines but was opposed both from within his own communion and by the Jesuits.

  Arend Dickmann (1572-1627) - Admiral in the Polish Navy. He was a Dutchman, born in Delft under the name Arend Dijckman. From 1608 he lived in Gdansk, being an owner of a merchant ship. In 1626 he entered in the service of the Polish king Sigismund III Vasa. On 24 November 1627 he was nominated as admiral of the Polish Navy. During the victorious Battle of Oliwa against the Swedish fleet (28 November 1627) he commanded the Polish Navy in the galleon Sankt Georg.
