  • Villa Park is a football stadium in the district of Aston, in Birmingham, England. It has been the home of Aston Villa Football Club since 1897. It is a UEFA Elite stadium and it has hosted 16 England internationals at senior level. The first international was in 1899 with the most recent being in 2005. It was the first English ground to stage international football in three different centuries. Villa previously played at Aston Park from 1874 to 1876 and Perry Barr from 1876 to 1897.

It was formerly the site of the Palace of Whitehall's tiltyard, where tournaments were held in the time of Henry VIII. It was also the scene of the annual celebrations of the birthday of Queen Elizabeth I. The area has been used for a variety of reviews, parades and other ceremonies since the 17th century. It was once the Headquarters of the British Army.

  • Hampden Park in Glasgow is Scotland's national stadium. Its primary use is as the home to Queen's Park F.C. and the Scotland national football team. It is also used for music concerts and other sporting events. Hampden was built in 1903, though all signs of the original stadium are long gone.   • Dorney Lake is a purpose built rowing lake in the United Kingdom. It is located at grid reference SU929779 in the small village of Dorney, Buckinghamshire and near the towns of Windsor and Eton, both in Berkshire, close to the River Thames. The lake is privately owned and financed by Eton College who have spent £17 million developing it and no public money has been used. Although it is primarily for use by the school, the facilities are made available to the rowing community.

  • Gennadiy Nikolaevich Aygi was a Chuvash poet and a translator. His poetry is written both in Chuvash and in Russian. He was born in the village of Shaimurzino (Çĕnyal), Chuvashia and started writing poetry in the Chuvash language in 1958.   • Tepelenë is the principal settlement in the eponymous Tepelenë District of southern Albania. It is located on the left bank of the Vjosë river, about three kilometres downstream from its union with the Drino. The name means "Helen's Hill". Its location is strategically important and there is a ruined citadel occupying a point 300 metres above the river. Ali Pasha was born at the nearby village of Hormova.
