It has the largest circulation of Swedish morning newspapers, followed by Göteborgs-Posten and Svenska Dagbladet, and is the only morning newspaper that is distributed to subscribers across the whole country. In 2007 DN had a circulation of 344 000, reaching 881 000 people every day. Opinion leaders often choose DN as the venue for publishing major opinion editorials. In 1983 it increased its periodicity to five issues per week and in 1990 to six.
