The group's original line-up consisted of Dave Gahan (lead vocals), Martin Gore (keyboards, guitar, vocals, chief songwriter after 1981), Andrew Fletcher (keyboards) and Vince Clarke (keyboards, chief songwriter 1980–81).   • Maurice Druon (April 23, 1918 – April 14, 2009) was a French novelist and a member of the Académie française. Born in Paris, France, Druon was the nephew of the writer Joseph Kessel, with whom he wrote the Chant des Partisans, which, with music composed by Anna Marly, was used as an anthem by the French Resistance during World War II.   • The Douglas XB-42 Mixmaster was an experimental bomber aircraft, designed for a high top speed. The unconventional approach was to mount the two engines within the fuselage driving a pair of contra-rotating propellers mounted at the tail, leaving the wing and fuselage clean and free of aerodynamics-reducing protrusions. Two prototype aircraft were built, but the end of World War II changed priorities and the advent of the jet engine gave an alternative way toward achieving high speed.

  • Matthew Paul Miller (born June 30, 1979), better known by his Hebrew name Matisyahu, is an American Hasidic Jewish reggae musician. Known for blending traditional Jewish themes with Reggae, rock and hip hop sounds, Matisyahu's single "King Without a Crown" was a Top 40 hit. Since 2004, he has released three studio albums as well as one live album, two remix CDs and one DVD featuring a live concert. Through his career, Matisyahu has worked with Bill Laswell and reggae producers Sly & Robbie.

  • Zhou Mi (born April 19, 1986) is a Chinese pop singer. He is one of the two new members of Super Junior's third sub-unit Super Junior-M, the other being Henry. Aside from singing, he has contributed to the group's first Chinese album "迷(Me)" by writing Chinese lyrics to songs such as "愛你愛你(Love Song)", "Marry U" and "渴望". He speaks fluent Mandarin, and understands conversational Korean and Cantonese.
