Mount Elbrus is an inactive volcano located in the western Caucasus mountain range, in Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia, Russia, near the border of Georgia. Mt. Elbrus's highest peak is the highest mountain in the Caucasus, in Russia, and in all of Europe. Mt. Elbrus stands at 5,642 metres (18,510 ft); the east summit is slightly lower at 5,621 metres (18,442 ft).
Mount Pelée is an active volcano on the northern tip of the French overseas department of Martinique in the Lesser Antilles island arc of the Caribbean. It is among the deadliest stratovolcanoes on Earth; its volcanic cone composed of layers of volcanic ash and hardened lava. The volcano is now famous for its extremely destructive eruption in 1902 and the destruction that resulted, now dubbed the worst volcanic disaster of the 20th century.
Mauna Kea is an inactive volcano in the U.S. state of Hawaii, one of five volcanoes which together form the island of Hawaii. Mauna Kea, according to some etymologists is a contraction of Mauna-o-Wakea, meaning in English, "Mountain of the deity Wakea. " The modern form, "Mauna Kea," means "white mountain" in the Hawaiian language, a reference to its summit being regularly covered by snow in winter.

Mount Eccles is an inactive volcano in southwestern Victoria, Australia near Macarthur. It is composed of scoria hill from a series of volcanic vents. A number of eruptions occurred between 20,000 years and 8,000 years ago, the crater now being Lake Surprise. The eruptions altered the drainage in the area producing the lava flows and wetlands of the Budj Bim National Heritage Landscape.
Mount Bailey is a relatively young tephra cone and shield volcano in the Cascade Range, located on the opposite side of Diamond Lake from Mount Thielsen in southern Oregon, United States. Bailey consists of a 2,000 feet (610 m) high main cone on top of an old basaltic andesite shield volcano. With a volume of 8 to 9 km (1.9 to 2.2 cu mi), Mount Bailey is slightly smaller than its neighbor Diamond Peak. Mount Bailey is a popular destination for recreational activities.
Mount Karisimbi is an inactive volcano in the Virunga Mountains on the border between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. At 4,507 metres (14,787 ft), Karisimbi is the highest of the eight major mountains of the mountain range, which is a part of the East African Rift Valley. Karisimbi is flanked by Mikeno to the north, Bisoke to the east and Nyiragongo to the west, on the other side of the Rift Valley.
P57 is an oxypregnane steroidal glycoside isolated from the African cactiform Hoodia gordonii. P57 is thought to be the main active constituent from this plant that may be responsible for the possible appetite suppressant activity of Hoodia extracts. In a rat study at Brown Medical School, intracerebroventricular injections of the purified P57 demonstrated that the compound has a likely central nervous system (CNS) mechanism of action.
