Blue Peter é um programa de televisão para crianças, produzido pelo canal inglês BBC. É bastante popular no Reino Unido e é considerada a mais longeva série infantil televisiva (foi criado em 1958). Seu nome foi dado por causa da bandeira azul-e-branca hasteada por um navio no porto quando está prestes a zarpar. A razão por trás da escolha do título do programa é que ele pretende ser uma viagem de aventura e descoberta, sempre falando sobre tópicos diferentes. More information...

  • Come Dancing was a BBC TV ballroom dancing competition show that ran on and off from 1949 to 1998, becoming one of television's longest-running shows.   • Opportunity Knocks is a British television talent show originally hosted by Hughie Green. The original radio version started on the BBC Light Programme in the 1940s but moved to Radio Luxembourg in the 1950s. It was shown on ITV from 20 June 1956 to 29 August 1956, produced by Associated Rediffusion. A second run commenced in 11 July 1964 until 20 March 1978, produced first by ABC and then by Thames Television. Hughie Green presented a single episode of Opportunity Knocks for RTÉ in 1979.
  • What The Papers Say (1956–2008) was the second longest-running programme on British television after Panorama. The programme discussed, often with humour (depending on the presenter), how different newspapers had covered the previous week's main news stories.
  • Crackerjack was a British children's comedy/variety BBC television series. It started on 14 September 1955 and ran for over 400 shows in B&W and later colour until 21 December 1984.

  • The Good Old Days was a popular BBC television light entertainment programme which ran from 1953 to 1983. It was recorded live at the Leeds City Varieties and recreated an authentic atmosphere of the Victorian–Edwardian music hall with songs and sketches of the era performed by present-day performers in the style of the original artistes. The audience dressed in period costume and joined in the singing, especially the singing of Down at the Old Bull and Bush which closed the show.
