•  World Scout Jamboree

  The World Scout Jamboree is a Scouting jamboree of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, typically attended by several tens of thousands of Scouts from around the world, aged 14 to 17. The first World Scout Jamboree was organized by The Boy Scout Association in London. With exceptions for the war years, it has been organized approximately every four years, in the more recent years by the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM), in different locations over the world.

•  4th World Scout Jamboree

  The 4th World Scout Jamboree, a gathering of Boy Scouts from all over the world, was hosted by Hungary and held from August 2 to August 13, 1933. It was attended by 25,792 Scouts, representing 46 different nations and additional territories. They encamped around the Royal Palace in the Royal Forest of Gödöllő, about 11 miles from the capital of Budapest.

  The national Scout jamboreeis a gathering, or jamboree of thousands of members of the Boy Scouts of America, usually held every four years and organized by the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Referred to as "the Jamboree", "Jambo", or NSJ, Scouts from all over the nation and world have the opportunity to attend. They are considered to be one of several unique experiences that the Boy Scouts of America offers. The first jamboree was scheduled to be held in 1935 in Washington, D.C.

•  Jamboree (Scouting)

  In Scouting, a jamboree is a large gathering of Scouts who rally at a national or international level. The 1st World Scout Jamboree was held in 1920, and was hosted by the United Kingdom. Since then, there have been twenty one World Scout Jamborees, hosted in various countries, generally every four years. There are also national and continental jamborees held around the world with varying frequency. Many of these events will invite and attract Scouts from overseas.

  The World Scout Moot is a gathering of older Scouts, mainly Rover Scouts, ages 18-26 (although there was no upper age limit for the earlier Moots) from all over the world. Moots are held every four years and are organized by the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). The original name was World Rover Moot, which was later changed to World Moot (because the term Rover was less and less used) and later to World Scout Moot.

•  2005 National Scout Jamboree

  The 2005 National Scout Jamboree was the 16th national Scout jamboree of the Boy Scouts of America and was held from July 25, 2005 through August 3, 2005 at Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia. Normally, the next jamboree would be held four years afterward in 2009, but the date was changed so that the next jamboree could take place in 2010, the centennial anniversary of Scouting in the United States.

•  13th World Scout Jamboree

  The 13th World Jamboree was held August 2–10, 1971, on Asagiri Heights on the western side of Mount Fuji, near the town of Fujinomiya City, Japan, approximately 80 miles southwest of Tokyo. The Jamboree was interrupted by Typhoon Olive in which 16,000 of the participating Scouts were evacuated to shelters in the countryside for 48 hours. The Jamboree site was served from the south by Japan National Highway 139 and a turnpike from Fujinomiya.

•  World Scout Indaba

  The World Scout Indaba was a gathering of Scout Leaders from around the world, a sort of World Jamboree for Scouters. Created at the 1949 12th World Scout Conference in Elvesaeter, Norway, the British Scout Association submitted that of the great number of Scouters working in a Pack, Troop or Crew, only a very small percentage were ever able to take part in a major international Scout gathering.

•  Australian Scout Jamboree

  The Australian Scout Jamboree is a jamboree which is held every three years by Scouts Australia. The Jamboree is traditionally held in early January and runs for 12-13 days. The first, in 1934, was held in Frankston, Victoria and was the only Australian Jamboree attended by the Chief Scout, Robert Baden-Powell. The Frankston district still uses the original Jamboree logo as its district emblem.

•  21st World Scout Jamboree

  The 21st World Scout Jamboree was held in July and August 2007, and formed a part of the Scouting 2007 Centenary celebrations of the world Scout Movement. The event was hosted by the United Kingdom, as 2007 marked the 100th anniversary of the founding of Scouting on Brownsea Island. The event was held for 12 days between 27 July and 8 August, in Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex.
