  • Novatian (circa 200 – 258) was a scholar and antipope who held the title between 251 and 258. He was a noted theologian and writer, the first Roman theologian who used the Latin language, at a time when there was much debate about how to deal with Christians who had lapsed and wished to return, and the issue of penance. Consecrated as pope by three bishops in 251, he adopted a more rigorous position than the established Pope, Cornelius.

  • Zhuge Dan (died 258) was a general of Cao Wei. He helped crush Wuqiu Jian's rebellion against Cao Wei in 255. He later rebelled against the Wei Kingdom for reasons similar to Wuqiu Jian's reasons for rebelling, because he thought that the Simas were planning to usurp the Wei Dynasty. He sent one of his sons as captives to Eastern Wu and received aid from Eastern Wu. However, his rebellion failed and he was killed.

  • Nikolai Vladimirovich Shcherbachov (in Cyrilllic, Николай Владимирович Щербачёв; b. 12 August 1853; d. 1 October 1922) was a Russian composer and pianist. Born in St. Petersburg, Shcherbachov was an uncle of fellow composer Vladimir Vladimirovich Shcherbachov, who was a second cousin of Andrei Vladimirovich Shcherbachov (1869-1916). Beginning in 1871 he was associated with the "The Five" (or, more broadly, the Balakirev circle). He composed piano pieces, songs, and works for orchestra.
