The All Pakistan Federation of Trade Unions (APFTU) is a national trade union center in Pakistan. It was founded in 1947 and has a membership of 602,000. The APFTU is affiliated with the International Trade Union Confederation.
The Workers' Commissions since the 1970s has become the largest trade union in Spain. The affiliated trade unions gather in total about 1.3 million employees. This makes the organization the second biggest of Sweden's three major trade union confederations.
The Swedish Confederation of Professional Associations (Sveriges Akademikers Centralorganisation or SACO) is a confederation of 26 independent professional associations in Sweden. It gathers some 556,000 members, all of whom are academics or graduate professionals with a university or college degree. The members include economists, lawyers, architects, graduate engineers, doctors, scientists, teachers and many others. The organization does not form affiliations with political parties.

Melvyn Maile Tom (August 4, 1941 – April 27, 2006) was an American football defensive lineman who played nine seasons in the National Football League for the Philadelphia Eagles and the Chicago Bears. Mel was the first native Hawaiian to play in the NFL. Mel is the father of Logan Tom, member of the 2000, 2004 and 2008 American Olympic indoor volleyball teams. He died at age 64 of heart failure.
