  • The Geelong Ring Road (formerly known as the Geelong Bypass and the Geelong Outer Freeway) is a freeway ring road under construction. Sections one and two were officially opened December 14, 2008. The ring road will extend for 25 km beside Geelong's western suburbs from the Princes Freeway at Corio to the Princes Highway at Waurn Ponds. The road will also connect to the Midland Highway to Ballarat, and the Hamilton Highway. Proposals for a road along this route date back to October 1960.

  • Malmö Arena or Hyllie Arena is a multi-use indoor arena in Hyllievång, a new section to the city of Malmö, Sweden. Ground was broken on January 10, 2007 for construction and the building was inaugurated on November 6, 2008. It will be used mostly for ice hockey matches, and will have seats for 12,500 spectators during sport events, and for concerts a capacity of 15,000. Hyllie Arena is the new home arena for the Malmö Redhawks, replacing the old Malmö Isstadion.

  • Kurt Paul Schmitt (7 October, 1886 in Heidelberg – 2 November, 1950 in Heidelberg) was a German economic leader and the Reich Economy Minister. The jurist Kurt Schmitt graduated in 1911 in Munich with the thesis "The Ongoing Information File, in Particular the Information Convention". and then went into the service of the Allianz AG insurance company. From 1914 to 1917 he participated in the First World War and was discharged having reached the rank of captain.
