  • Aloysius "Alois" Alzheimer, (pron. , 14 June 1864 - 19 December 1915) was a German psychiatrist and neuropathologist and a colleague of Emil Kraepelin. Alzheimer is credited with identifying the first published case of "presenile dementia", which Kraepelin would later identify as Alzheimer's disease.

  • Rosmarie Waldrop (born August 24, 1935) is a contemporary American poet, translator and publisher. Born in Germany, she has lived in the United States since 1958. She has lived in Providence, Rhode Island since the late 1960s. Waldrop is coeditor and publisher of Burning Deck Press, as well as the author or coauthor (as of 2006) of 17 books of poetry, two novels, and three books of criticism.

  • Otto Hellmuth (July 22, 1896 - April 20, 1968) was a member of the Nazi Party. Born at Markt Einersheim, he was Gauleiter of the German region of Lower Franconia (Unterfranken) from 1928 to 1945. His home and office were in Würzburg, the capital of the Gau Mainfranken. By 1935, Hellmuth had his Gau renamed as Mainfranken. After World War II, the region's original name was reinstated. Over most of his term as Gauleiter, Hellmuth was not an impressive personality.
  • Max Hamburger (May 31, 1897-February 3, 1970) was a German lawyer and legal scholar. He was the author of a definitive handbook of the German law on good will and fair dealing, Treu and Glauben in Verkehr. Born in Kitzingen, Bavaria, Hamburger studied at the University of Würzburg and University of Heidelberg from 1918-21, after having served as an officer in the German artillery during World War I.
