  • Dimitar Ivanov Berbatov (born 30 January 1981) is a Bulgarian footballer who plays as a striker for Manchester United of England and is the all-time leading goalscorer for the Bulgarian national team. He has won the Bulgarian Footballer of the Year award six times, surpassing the number of wins by Hristo Stoichkov. He is distinctive for his skillful, seemingly effortless style of play, which has earned him praise but also a perception as being "lazy".

  • Stoycho Stoilov (born October 15, 1971 in Blagoevgrad) is a retired Bulgarian football midfielder. He played for PFC Pirin 1922 Blagoevgrad, CSKA and PFC Litex Lovech. Stoilov also had a spell with 1. FC Nuremberg in the German Fußball-Bundesliga. He was in the Bulgarian squad at the 1998 FIFA World Cup, although he did not play in any games.

  • Borislav Hazurov (born 4 October 1985) is a Bulgarian footballer, currently playing for PFC Lokomotiv Mezdra as a striker. Hazurov previously played for PFC Pirin Blagoevgrad, PFC Litex Lovech and PFC Marek Dupnitsa. Borislav has a cousin that also is a footballer - the forward of Minyor Pernik Kostadin Hazurov.

  • Ivan Tsvetkov (born August 31, 1979 in Blagoevgrad) is a football striker from Bulgaria, who is playing for Khazar Lenkoran in Azerbaijan since the summer of 2008/2009.
  • Atanas Nikolov (born 21 July 1977) is a Bulgarian footballer currently (as of July 2009) playing for Minyor Pernik as a forward. Nikolov previously played for Pirin 1922 and Lokomotiv Mezdra in the A PFG.
