  Charles Robert Taylor is a former American football wide receiver in the National Football League for the Washington Redskins. Taylor was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1984. During his tenure with the Redskins they reached the Super Bowl in 1973,, after the 1972 season. They also made the playoffs four other times in the 1970s.

  Remilekun "Remi" Ayodele (born April 22, 1983 in Grand Prairie, Texas) is an American football defensive tackle for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League. He was signed by the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 2006. He played college football at Oklahoma. Ayodele has also been a member of the Baltimore Ravens, Dallas Cowboys and Atlanta Falcons. He is the younger brother of NFL linebacker Akin Ayodele.

•  James Walter Elder

  James Walter Elder (October 5, 1882 - December 16, 1941) was a United States Representative from Louisiana. He was born in Grand Prairie, Texas. He attended the public schools, and Baylor University, Waco, Texas 1895-1901. Later, he studied law, was admitted to the bar in 1903, and commenced practice in Farmerville, the seat of Union Parish. Elder served as mayor of Farmerville before he moved to Monroe and continued the practice of his profession.
