Neuzelle is a municipality in the Oder-Spree district, Brandenburg, Germany, along the border with Poland. The settlement in the historic Lower Lusatia region is probably best known for Neuzelle Abbey and its Neuzeller Kloster Brewery. The abbey was established on 12 October 1268 by Henry III the Illustrious, margrave of Lusatia, as a filial monastery of Cistercian Altzelle Abbey near Nossen in the Margraviate of Meissen.

Fehrbellin is a municipality in Germany, located 60 km NW of Berlin. It has 9310 inhabitants as of 2005. In 1675, the Battle of Fehrbellin was fought there, in which the troops of Brandenburg defeated those of occupying Sweden. In 1758 during the Seven Years War Prussian and Swedish forces clashed at Battle of Fehrbellin (1758). One of the most important skydiving dropzones of Germany is located at the local airport.

Kloster Lehnin or Lehnin is a municipality in the German state of Brandenburg, about 15 km (9 mi) southeast of Brandenburg an der Havel. It was established on April 1, 2002 by the merger of 13 villages: Centre of the municipality is Lehnin. It is best known for Lehnin Abbey, the oldest monastery in the Margraviate of Brandenburg, established in 1180 by Margrave Otto I. The adajacent settlement developed about 1415 out of a market held by thed monks outside the abbey walls.
Wandlitz is a municipality in the district of Barnim, in Brandenburg, Germany. It is situated 25 km north of Berlin, and 15 km east of Oranienburg. The municipality was established in 2004 by merger of the nine villages Basdorf, Klosterfelde, Lanke, Prenden, Schönerlinde, Schönwalde, Stolzenhagen, Wandlitz and Zerpenschleuse. The communal government of the Great municipality has its seat in Wandlitz directly.

Today some parts of the mine are used as a museum. Some famous buildings in Berlin such as the Brandenburg Gate are built with limestone from Rüdersdorf.
