  • Thelonious Monk with John Coltrane is a 1957 album by Thelonious Monk. It was recorded while Monk was engaged in a six-month stay at New York's legendary Five Spot in 1957 with his quartet of the time, which included Coltrane. While this album features this quartet on only three tracks - "Ruby, My Dear", "Trinkle, Tinkle" and "Nutty" - a more extensive collection can be found in "The Complete 1957 Riverside Recordings.

  • Sahara is a 1972 album by jazz pianist McCoy Tyner, his first to be released on the Milestone label. It was recorded in January 1972 and features performances by Tyner with Sonny Fortune, Calvin Hill, and Alphonse Mouzon. The Allmusic review by Brian Olewnick states "Tyner would go on to create several fine albums in the mid-'70s, but never again would he scale quite these heights. Sahara is an astonishingly good record and belongs in every jazz fan's collection".

  • Song for My Lady is a 1972 album by jazz pianist McCoy Tyner, his second to be released on the Milestone label. It was recorded in September and November 1972 and features performances by Tyner with Sonny Fortune, Calvin Hill, Alphonse Mouzon with Charles Tolliver and Mtume joining on two tracks. The Allmusic review by Eugene Chadbourne states "This is quite a fine collection of tracks and one of Tyner's six best albums".

  • Echoes of a Friend is a 1972 live album by jazz pianist McCoy Tyner released on the Milestone label. It was recorded in Japan on November 11, 1972 and features Tyner in a solo piano tribute to John Coltrane. The Allmusic review by Scott Yanow states "Few McCoy Tyner records are not easily recommended but this one even ranks above most".

  • Song of the New World is a 1973 album by jazz pianist McCoy Tyner, his fourth to be released on the Milestone label. It was recorded in April 1973 and features performances by Tyner with a big band including Sonny Fortune, Hubert Laws, Alphonse Mouzon and Virgil Jones and a string section on two tracks. The Allmusic review by Scott Yanow states "The powerful pianist is in fine form and the main soloist throughout. Most memorable is the title cut and a reworking of "Afro Blue"".

It was recorded at the Montreaux Jazz Festival in Switzerland on July 7, 1973 and features Tyner in performance with Azar Lawrence, Joony Booth and Alphonse Mouzon. The 2008 CD reissue added two alternate takes as bonus tracks.
