The House of Laborde de Monpezat is a French family, known since the seventeenth century, associated with the royal family of Denmark by marriage. In 1967 Henri de Laborde de Monpezat wed Crown Princess Margrethe of Denmark. In the event of ascension to the Danish throne of their elder son, Frederik, Crown Prince of Denmark (or of his firstborn child, Prince Christian), the main branch of the Danish Royal Family will belong patrilineally to the de Laborde de Monpezat lineage.
