  • Manchester United Football Club is an English Premier League football club which plays at Old Trafford in Greater Manchester. The club was formed as Newton Heath in 1878, joined the Football League in 1892, and has played in the top division of English football since 1938 with the exception of the 1974–75 season. Average attendances at the club have been higher than any other team in English football for all but six seasons since 1964–65.

  • SBV Excelsior is a professional football club from Rotterdam, in the Kralingen-Crooswijk district. It was founded on July 23, 1902 and was formerly known as 'Rotterdamse Voetbal en Atletiek Vereniging Excelsior' (Rotterdam Football and Athletics Union Excelsior). The club was relegated from the top Dutch league, Eredivisie in 2007/08. Excelsior used to be a satellite club of Feyenoord, where Excelsior received money and players (either on loan or free transfer) from Feyenoord.

The club, founded in 1900, is from Newtownards, but plays its home matches at Dixon Park in Ballyclare, which it shares with Ballyclare Comrades. Club colours are red and blue. The club has suffered severe financial problems in recent times. This resulted in the club having to sell its ground, Castlereagh Park, to property developers.

In 1920, the Town suffix was added to the club's title. In 1922, the club switched to the East Devon League. They were the founding members of the Western Football League Division Three in 1949 and progressed through the division until reaching the Western League top flight in 1953.
