  • Newport was a rotten borough situated in Cornwall. It is now within the town of Launceston, which was itself also a parliamentary borough at the same period.
  • The English Reformation Parliament was so-called because it was the Parliament, commencing in 1529, that passed and enabled the major pieces of legislation leading to the English Reformation. Unusually, 'English' is included in the usual name to distinguish it from the Scottish Reformation Parliament. After the failure of Cardinal Wolsey to win the Blackfriars tribunal, King Henry VIII of England was frustrated.
  • The title Baron Mordaunt was created in 1529 for Sir John Mordaunt. The fifth baron was created Earl of Peterborough in 1628 and the title then passed to his son, the second earl, in 1644. On his death in 1697, the earldom was inherited by the his nephew, Charles and the barony was inherited by his only child, Mary, the estranged wife of the 7th Duke of Norfolk. When she died childless in 1705, the barony was also inherited by Charles, who had also been created Earl of Monmouth.
  • Orford was a constituency of the House of Commons. Consisting of the town of Orford in Suffolk, it elected two Members of Parliament (MP) by the bloc vote version of the first past the post system of election until it was disenfranchised in 1832.
  • Thetford was a constituency of the British House of Commons. It elected two Members of Parliament (MPs) by the first past the post system of election until it was disenfranchised in 1868. Below are those MPs who held the seat from just prior to the Restoration onwards.
  • Bingley Grammar School is a school for both boys and girls from the ages of 11–18 and is located on the outskirts of Bingley, West Yorkshire, England.
  • Agnam-Goly is a Sahelian village in north-eastern Senegal with a population of 3,143 inhabitants. The village is located in the Ranérou Ferlo Department of Matam Region, approximately 630 kilometers (390 miles) to the northeast of Dakar, on the bank of the Senegal River.
