Summary

Why does this end with "26 US"? I think it's supposed to say that 26 US servicemen were charged with these crimes but only one was convicted-Thomas Callie-the Lieutenant who led the massacre. Most of us who were alive during the war believed that he should not have shouldered the blame; the entire US military leadership should have been  court-marshaled and convicted with him for putting these young men into situations that drove them to commit such atrocities.

I sincerely believe that no one will ever know what these young men-boys most of them- witnessed to drive them to these hellish acts. All I know is that they were decent kids who were destroyed from the inside out by that horrible war.
