Summary

'Malik is an Arabic word meaning "king. " It has been adopted in various other, mainly Islamized or Arabized, Asian languages for their ruling princes and to render kings elsewhere; furthermore it is sometimes used in derived meanings. Malik is one of the names of Allah, "King" in the absolute sense. Alternative forms are Malek and Maalik.   • Virk (विर्क) Wirk (विर्क) Birk (बिर्क) Vrik (वृक) Varika (वरिक) is a gotra of the Jat clan found in Punjab and Rajasthan. Typically, Virks are tall, thin and fair-skinned. In western Punjab, Virks are supposed to belong to the Mahe dynasty and Minhas are considered to be brethren of the Virks. Birk and Virk gotras are of the same origin. The pronunciation is different only due to linguistic differences. A Virk faimly also lives in Shikarpur Pakistan.
